On June 20, 2015 members and friends of the Tri-County Mustang Club took a cruise along US 80 to Selma, Alabama and on to Valley Grande Mexican Grill, where we had lunch hosted by 3cmc member Sergio Sanchez.  Lunch was great and afterwards we all traveled on to Clanton, Alabama to Peach Park, for shopping and peach cobbler and ice cream.  In the picture above club members are shown crossing the famous Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma.

At a recent Show at Gilmore Ford  was a reunion of sorts for Jerry Lowery, Bob Messick, & Harrell McKinney.  30 years ago in the fall of 1981 these three met for the first time and created what was to become the Heart of Dixie Mustang Club in Montgomery.  At the time Bob owned a sandwich shop on the Eastern Bypass and that location was where the first meeting of these 3 took place.  The club name was taken off Alabama license plates which always read Heart of Dixie, and the club logo was influenced by an album cover from the country music group Alabama.  After 30 years these 3 men can still be found at local car shows.

40 Years of Shelby

Meetings of the Tri-County Mustang Club are held on the first Thursday night of each month. Our next meeting will be announced very soon.  We eat at 6 pm and meet at 7.  Many upcoming topics will be discussed.

Through the efforts of our members and sponsors, 3cmc made the following charitable donations to these fine organizations starting in 2010.
Corporal Brown of MPD Fund---------------$1000
Muscular Dystrophy Association-------------$1000
Blue Star Salute of Alabama----------------$755
Toys for Tots----------------------------------$500
Montgomery Area Food Bank----------------$950
Montgomery Area Council on Aging (Meals on Wheels)--------------------------$950
In all, through car shows and other fund raisers, 3cmc donated over $5000 to help others in our community.  As you can see, there are lots more things involved in car shows than just sitting in a parking lot.  A Great BIG Round of Thanks goes out to all of those who helped make this possible!  Come join us and make 2016 even bigger!!!!!
