Tri-County Mustang Club

We are the Tri-County's area premier Mustang Club open to all Mustang enthusiasts that enjoy having fun and fellowship with other Ford Mustang fanatics!

Our meetings had been rotated to different locations, but now have a permanent home at Jim n' Nicks BBQ in Prattville.  Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, MARCH 4th.  As of March 4th, 2010 we currently have 165 members driving the early headturning classic's to the most extreme Mustang you can own! So you see, we are all one big family that just loves the Hoofbeat of America, so whether you own one or are in the market hoping to have one added to your family's stable, we are the club for you. If you live in or near Autauga, Elmore, and Montgomery counties here in Central Alabama, or anywhere else in this fine State, or in another State, okay even in another Country (heck, we don't care where you live!) Own a Ford Mustang or just like being around Mustang's and like showing your ride off THIS is YOUR club!  Give us a try, you'll be seeing a whole new side of Mustang ownership!

April 2008 ------ Club established with 4 members.

May 2008 ------ Logo and T-shirt designs authorized to be designed by area artists.

June 2008 ------ Club informally met at Flip's Cruise In to approve logo design. Officers provisionally appointed.

July 2008 ------ Website launched.  First Officers Meeting held at Mellow Mushroom, Prattville, AL.  First car show attended as a club at 1st Annual River Region Open Show at EastChase Shoppes in Montgomery, AL

August 2008 ------ First meeting of membership held at Las Casitas in Prattville, AL.  Attended the 2nd Annual Eastmont Baptist Church Car & Bike Show in Montgomery, AL.  Club incorporated as a Non-Profit Corporation with the Probate Judge Office in Wetumpka, AL

September 2008 ------ Hosted our first show, 1st Annual Possum Festival Open Car Show in Millbrook, AL.  Proceeds benefitted The Millbrook Community Players, a local theater group.  Hosted the Glynwood Baptist Church Open Car Show in Prattville, AL.  Proceeds benefitted The Janice Nichols Cancer Fund.

October 2008 ------ Club participated in the GM High Performance Annual Halloween Cruise in at Flips Uptown Grill. 

November 2008 ------ Club participated in the 1st Annual Chris Davis Memorial Open Car Show in Wetumpka, AL.  General elections held at November meeting at the Ox Yoke in Wetumpka to elect officers to full 4 year terms. 

December 2008 ------ Held the first club Christmas party for our members at the Front Porch Grill in Millbrook, AL.  Placed 7 cars in the Millbrook Christmas Parade.  Attended the annual Toys for Tots Cruise In at East Chase in Montgomery, AL 

January 2009 ------ Held our first meeting of the new year at Chappy's Deli on Perry Hill Road in Montgomery, AL.  Held a picture day at Hooters in Montgomery with members of the GM High Performance Club and the Capital City Corvette Club.  Attended the January Flip's Cruise in hosted by the Capital City Street Rod Club.

February 2009 ------- Regular meeting was held at Hooters in Montgomery, AL.  Had 2 members enter and win a First Place and Runner Up awards in the World of Wheels in Birmingham.  Participated in the Millbrook Mardi Gras Parade with 11 member cars.  On the 28th our club hosted our first Flip's Cruise In, and we celebrated the event with a Mardi Gras theme also.  Deborah Carter was crowned Queen of Mardi Gras.

March 2009 ------ Our meeting was once again at Chappy's Deli on Perry Hill Road.  March 7 we co-hosted with the GM High Performance Club the 2nd Annual Hooters Show & Shine, with 88 cars registered. 

April 2009 ----- Meeting was at Chappy's Deli on Perry Hill Road.  April 11 was our first Steak n Shake Cruise In with 34 cars registered.  April 16 - 19 we had 15 members serve as volunteers at the 45th Anniversary Show at Barbers Motorsports.  Our club's efforts had Gov. Riley issue a proclamation for "Mustang Day" on April 17.  On April 25 our club hosted the cruise in at Flip's with the 45th Anniversary theme with 79 cars registered.  Bob Messick was our Grand Marshall for the event. 

May 2009 ----- May 2 was a  co-hosted event with GMHP at the 1st Annual Marketfest Arts & Crafts Fair at the State Farmers Market with approx 40 cars.  On May 5 we celebrated with a Cinco de Mayo Cruise In at LaBamba's Mexican Cafe in Montgomery.  Our regular meeting May 7 was held at Shoney's in Wetumpka.  Our club was invited to the State Capitol for picture day with Governor Bob Riley with 12 members in attendance on May 8.  On May 23 our club attended the annual Harley Davidson Car Show, and followed up by attending the Flip's Cruise In hosted by the Capitol City Corvette Club.

June 2009 ----- Our regular meeting was held June 4 at Big Easy Creole Cafe.  On June 13 we held our monthly  cruise in at Steak 'n Shake. June 20 we cruised to the Confederate Memorial Park, and on to Alabaster for a cruise in with the Southern Stangs.  June 27 several members attended the Advance Auto Parts Show in Tallassee, and that night a club group went to the Biscuits game in Montgomery.

July 2009 ----- Regular meeting was held at the Cajun Grill in Wetumpka on July 2.  On July 11 our regular Steak n Shake Cruise In was held in Prattville.  A group of members caravanned to Alabaster on July 18 for a car show hosted by the Southern Stangs at Ernest McCarty Ford.  July 25 club members attended the Flips Cruise In hosted by the Street Rod Club.

August 2009 ----- We held our regular meeting at Shoneys in Prattville on August 6.  On August 8 we went to Steak n Shake for our monthly cruise in.  At the end of the month on Aug 29 we attended Flips Cruise In for Elvis Night hosted by the Street Rod Club. 

September 2009 ----- Our monthly meeting returned to Cajun Grille on September 3.  We participated in the River Region 2nd Annual Car Show on September 12 with a total of 115 cars.  On Sept 19 we held our 2nd Annual Possum Festival show in Millbrook, and fought rain all day.  On Sept 26 our club had a busy day, with atttending the McGehee Road Baptist Church show that morning, and hour club hosting the Flips Cruise In that night with the theme of Football in the SEC.  Although our decorations were great the event was rained out.

October 2009 ----- Our monthly meeting found a permanent home at Jim N Nicks in Prattville on October 1.  We had 38 in attendance, with several visitors from the GM & Corvette clubs that night.  On Oct 3 our club hosted the Glynwood Baptist Church in Prattville show for their members.  On the same day 2 of our members took awards at the 3rd Annual Mustang/Ford show at Gilmore Ford.  On the 24th we took a group and caravanned to Tallassee for lunch at Javier and Rachel's Mexican restaurant.  Oct 31 was well attended at Flip's for the annual GM hosted Halloween cruise in.  Many members wore their costumes to the event.

November 2009 ----- Monthly meeting was at Jim N Nicks in Prattville on Nov 5.  Our club had a big turnout for the 2nd Annual Chris Davis Memorial Show on Nov 7 at Wetumpka High School.  Keith Norris took 1st Place in the Mustang Division.  Next week on Nov 14 our club, along with the Southern Stangs, took approx 30 cars to Gilmore Ford for their new owners Grand Opening, hosted by the HODMC.
