If you've clicked on the link for this page, I'm sure there are some questions about the Tri County Mustang Club you were wanting to ask. So here are some general questions and answers that will hopefully give you a better understanding of our club. If there is a question that still remains unanswered, email me at cpc5437@charter.net and I'll answer it. Thank you for your interest in the Tri County Mustang Club, and we sincerley hope after reading these Q's & A's, you'll join our Mustang family!
Yes! The reason we are called the Tri County Mustang Club is were based out of Millbrook and the majority of our members are from the tri county area. So whether you live near Clanton, or down near Troy, or heading out towards Auburn, or heck even from another State or Country we would love for you to join our group! Also if you are "Mustangless" no need to fret, as long as you love the Ford Mustang we would be honored for you to become a member, or just come by one of our meetings and see for yourself how much fun we have!
My mustang is definitly not a show car, it needs some TLC to make it something I can be proud of. Can I still join?
First of all, "something you can be proud of"? You own a Mustang, when is there a time you can't be proud to own a Mustang! To answer your question, your car does not have to be show quality to be in our club. We are here to help you to get you through all the answers to help make your dream car a reality. We love all Mustangs whether it is a classic that needs some TLC or one just off the showroom floor! And once you see some of the other cars in the club, you will get tons of ideas of what you might want to do to your car also. Every Mustang looks great when we all line up in a parade.
Starting in January 2009 we will be asking for $20 Family dues, which will cover operating expenses such as T-shirts, decals, patches, website maintenance, and anything else that our Club needs to be covered financially.
We meet the first Thursday of every month at Jim 'N Nick's BBQ in Prattville. They are located right of he interstate on Cobbs Ford Road. You won't miss them, just look for all the Mustangs parked out front! Our meetings usually last about an hour, to an hour and a half. We also meet the last Saturday evening of each month at the Flips Cruise-In on the corner of Vaughn Road & Taylor Road here in Montgomery. People for the cruise-in start showing up around 4:30pm and stay until 8:30 or 9:00pm. Except for the months of November and December where there is no cruise-in's held.
Now that is a good question! And I have three answers for you, Fun, Fellowship, and last but not least, sharing your love with others for America's favorite pony car! You'll be getting a better understanding of what Mustang ownership is all about, along with getting to know a bunch of terrific people in our club, not to mention all the fun you will have along the way!
Hmmm, sounds good so far BUT, I noticed that nowhere on your website that the club was affilliated with the MCA (Mustang Club of America).
Thanks for noticing! I have a great answer to that question. Our members have a great time at all our events we go to, or organize and we WILL NOT have an organization tell us who we can or can't go to for Sponsorships and door prizes for our shows. Even though alot of our members are with the MCA (as of now) on an individual status they can still compete in MCA shows and events. The cost of joining the MCA (US $50) is not justifable in what we as a club will get out of it. Alot of the national shows are so far out that alot of our MCA members don't attend. The shows we attend locally and within a 90 mile radius as a group are more fun since the judging isn't as strenuous as an MCA show. Who cares if your bolt that can't be seen without a mirror and a magnifing glass isn't the correct OEM part that has been missing of your classic Mustang for the last 30 years? WE ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN AND proud to say we are a club with only one rule, and that is to have FUN!
